MG SKINCARE CLINIC: treat yourself to a unique experience

After all these months of lockdown, we can notice that the skin has also suffered the consequences and we can see it is duller and drier. In addition, comes the return to work, rush, stress … Fortunately, we found the place where you have a luxury and leave out all the worries: MG Skincare next to Tower Bridge in London.

As soon as I arrived, Manuel Guerra received me, and he made sure I felt like I was in a cloud. What he offers is not just a facial treatment, it is a whole experience of sensations and relaxation, which is appreciated after a long day of work or leisure.

Once I sat on the couch, he suggested that I take off my shoes to be more comfortable and covered me with a soft blanket to start the treatment. He also uses his own brand of products and you can also buy them to continue the routine at home.

He started by putting steam on my face to make it easier to clean and also gave me a feeling of relaxation and I knew I was in good hands. The first thing he did was massage me with the Oil Facial Cleanser, which is formulated with grape seed oil as a base and liquorice extract to moisturize and cleanse the skin. Then he continued with the Radiance Clay Mask and continued with the massage (this mask I have continued to use at home once or twice a week and it is a real treat, read our full review). Then he put his 10% Folic Acid Gel on me to make a very gentle chemical peel, as he also mixed it with facial oil (at that time I had sensitive skin and thus avoided irritating my skin).

After the folic acid, he started with the manual extraction of blackheads and pimples. As this extraction is more aggressive to the skin, when he finished he poured the Radiance Toner on me which made my skin instantly calm down by reducing redness thanks to the fact that it is formulated with rose water which moisturizes and calms the skin.

Once my skin was toned, he gave me the Rich Face Cream as a mask, as it contains shea butter, almond oil and cocoa butter to promote hydration and began with the radio frequency of cold-heat to combat facial flaccidity. This technique consists of a device with two heads (one cold and one hot) that massage the face. The heat head makes the active ingredients penetrate more easily into the skin and the cold head combats flaccidity. As a piece of advice, he told me that the masks I put on at home, I could put them in the fridge to benefit from the beneficial effects of cold such as reducing redness, fighting flaccidity, helping to reduce inflammation in the face …

Once he finished with the radiofrequency, he put some drops of the Vita-C Serum in my skin, since vitamin C is an antioxidant and helps to have radiant skin. He put the Medium Face Cream on the serum to keep the skin moisturized and as a final product, he used sunscreen. You have to keep in mind that you should always use sunscreen and especially after a peeling treatment and with vitamin C.

I came away with beautiful, radiant, clean, and exceptionally soft to the touch skin. I must say that Manuel Guerra is an excellent professional who adapts the treatment to your needs. He gave me a facial massage, focusing on the most sensitive areas to improve circulation and the appearance of my skin. I must say that all his brand products are formulated with ingredients of vegetable origin and have a texture that is appreciated when applying them.

Without a doubt, I recommend it to everyone who is in London and wants to treat themselves to an hour of care, pampering and luxury. You can find it at 12 Horselydown Ln, London SE1 2LN.
