I think I am not the only one who is looking forward to sun, warmth, spring, holidays… longer days and being able to enjoy more terraces and walks in the sun.
Every year, we are all more aware of using sun protection on a daily basis and this year, some brands have come out with VERY interesting new products that I am going to tell you about. I have had the opportunity to try some of them and… a few of them are going to come with me this holiday, shall we start?
THE TRADITIONAL SUN PROTECTION
I think Isdin is one of the first brands that comes to mind when we think of sun protection.
Who has not tried Fusion Water? For me, it was the sun cream that changed my opinion of facial sun creams years ago.
Until then, all the ones I had tried had a super dense texture and to find such a fluid high sun protection was a total discovery. For years now it has been my go-to product almost every summer and I love it.
THE BEST TEXTURED SUNSCREEN
When I tried it (a few years ago) I could not believe how beautiful and smooth this cream from Frezy Derm left my skin.
It is perfect as a make-up primer; it has a silicone-based texture that visually fills in small wrinkles and pores. I do not like the sticky feeling of some creams and this one leaves a dry feel without drying out which makes it perfect for everyday use.
COLOURED SUN PROTECTION
One of the biggest shortcomings of sunscreens is that they do not have enough shades for those who want a sun protection with colour and that unifies the tone.
This year, Isdin laboratories have brought out two more shades of their well-known Fusion Water Color. I am quite fair-skinned and all the ones I had tried so far were too orange and with a very unnatural colour.
Well, the Light shade is perfect for me. It has a perfect low coverage to unify the tone without leaving a mask effect which I do not like at all.
MY FAVOURITE NEW 2022 SUNSCREEN
Of all the sunscreen launches in 2022, this is the one that has caught my attention the most, the Oil Correct sunscreen by La Roche Posay. It leaves the skin smooth, does not leave any greasiness and controls shine perfectly.
My skin is dry, and I did not know if this formula was going to dry me out even more and, on the contrary, it leaves my skin very comfortable and smooth, as if I had put a filter on it, so this one is going to stay with me for a long time, for sure.
ORAL SUN PROTECTION
In this category I have no doubt about which one to choose. A few years ago, I had an allergic reaction to the sun and the dermatologist recommended Heliocare capsules, what a good decision!
The following year I had no reaction and since then I have not stopped using them, I start a couple of months before the summer starts and take them until October.
