With the beginning of the sunny days, the change of time and the new collections in all the shops, we are kicking off the Spring, the spring trends and, moreover, a spring that we want and need.
After a few months of hibernation, spring awakens me from my lethargy and fills me with energy.
But I am not going to focus on me, in this first post I am going to share with you what gives me the most kick when it comes to activating me with this season, and that is the spring trends, straight from the catwalks to the street.
These trends are marked by a common denominator, highlighting our natural beauty without additives or big frills, and this is due to the fact that half of our face is covered with mascara and, therefore, this has made us desire fresh and simple make-up, to feel sexy and empowered with just a glance, feminine and all-terrain looks.
Make-up spring trends
In terms of make-up, as expected, we give way to make-up where the look is the protagonist, the colour takes a back seat and we see a wide range of possibilities, from my adored earth tones to pastel colours or the most daring fluorine.
What really matters this spring and gives power to the eye, are its features: Foxy eyes triumph, eyes framed with eyeliner, with eyebrows protagonist, bushy, straight, laminated…. This is your moment if you have been considering microblading or laminated eyebrows for a long time, now more than ever, you will get it right.
Another point to highlight is the eyelashes, we have been giving prominence to this eye extension for a few seasons now, but this spring, if you want to show off your look, give yourself a good eyelash lift.
Highlight your skin with your natural glow and a good skincare routine and go for cream products and liquid textures, glowy or satin finishes will be a must.
In short, simple looks have triumphed on the catwalk, the long-awaited No makeup- makeup effect and the launches and new products are joining this trend.
Without forgetting the hands
If anything stands out since we started the whole pandemic a year ago, it is how resentful the skin on our hands has become.
At the same time that we smear ourselves with hydroalcoholic gel twenty times a day, we take care of them with a lot of pampering and high doses of hand creams, but not only do we moisturise them, but the top brands have joined the fashion of adding treatments with active ingredients: anti-stain, anti-ageing, or radiance.
It is said that the real age can be seen in the hands, so we now have another way of cheating time.
Healthy and natural hair
On the subject of hair, and those of you who follow me on Instagram know that I am trying to change mine, there are three main points.
Firstly, the fashion for products without silicones, sulphates, alcohols, and additives continues, as in food, we are becoming increasingly “healthier” with our hair care. We will see long, curly, wavy, or straight hair, but always natural, let your hair look natural. Take care of it and hydrate it and you will be very fashionable this spring.
If you are one of the most daring and you fancy a cut, this season go for the fringe, they have not stopped appearing on all the catwalks and I personally love them, maybe I dare. Hahahaha.
