What is in Paula’s choice CBD + retinol oil?
In addition to CBD and retinol, it is combined with “centella asiatica”, an ingredient traditionally used to soothe irritated skin. This ingredient will also counteract the irritating effects of retinol.
Other interesting ingredients include hemp seed oil, the main ingredient. This oil is rich in alpha linolenic acid and its chemical composition is very similar to the protective oils secreted by our own skin. This helps to maintain the skin’s barrier function.

Despite the fact that in the state in which my skin is in, which is quite altered and very sensitive, I am advised against using retinol, I am tolerating it quite well with this product. Every other day, I use this product as the only step in my night routine, after cleansing.
Being an oil, it feels greasy to the touch, even though they have included a dry touch emollient. Although both ingredients are ideal for sebum control, you have to consider the greasy feel, perhaps on combination-oily skin using it as the only product in your routine.
The only downside I see to this product is the smell. They have not added any perfume, so the smell is not very pleasant, but when used in low concentration it is not something that causes rejection.
Another problem I see is that the brand’s website tells us that the product is discontinued, that is to say, that they are not going to make any more. Run, dry skin! You need it in your life.
