A few months ago, I talked to you about hyaluronic acid injections in the lips and how we can go from thin lips to full and hydrated lips. But what is hyaluronic acid for?
During all these months, I have been researching and I have discovered that hyaluronic acid can not only be infiltrated in the lips, but that we can practically improve our whole face thanks to this active ingredient that is now so fashionable.
Hyaluronic acid or Botox?
A few years ago, Botox was the king of infiltrations and it seemed that any time spent on our skin was going to be solved with a few small injections with it. Today, hyaluronic acid has completely dethroned it as it is much more versatile. But it is important not to confuse the two because on many occasions we tend to look for results that can only be achieved with one of the two.
Botox, what is it?
Botox is a toxin that, once injected, prevents muscle contraction and, therefore, prevents wrinkles from forming. This treatment is not effective for all types of wrinkles, but only for the so-called “expression wrinkles” that appear mainly in the upper third of the face. For wrinkles caused by the sun, for example, it would not be useful.
What is Hyaluronic Acid for?
Hyaluronic acid is an active ingredient that is naturally present in our organism and in our skin and is used to provide volume and hydration to areas of the face that have either lost it due to age or that we want to correct because we think we are going to look better aesthetically.
What can I improve with hyaluronic acid?
With hyaluronic acid we can sculpt practically all areas of the face, from the lips and nose to improving dark circles under the eyes, cheekbones or even the chin. Both this treatment and the Botox treatment are temporary and will need to be repeated over a period of months.
Furthermore, the most important thing of all, before embarking on these changes, is to go to a good professional for advice and counselling. Trust between doctor and patient is one of the basic points for these treatments.
Lips
It is perhaps the most fashionable area. Once we go to the clinic we must be advised by professionals because it is especially important to study the features of each person. If we want to go from very thin lips to lips like Kylie Jenner it is much better to do it in several sessions until we get the desired thickness and shape.
Nose
Non-surgical rhinomodelling is possible thanks to hyaluronic acid. Spectacular results can be achieved which, a priori, we do not think can be achieved without surgery. With a few punctures in specific areas, a straight nose is achieved, with the tip pointing upwards and optically thinner.
Under-eye circles
As the years go by, the under-eye area loses volume and often, due to genetics, we can have a sunken appearance in this part of the face. Hyaluronic acid fills in this area, giving a more youthful appearance, improving the texture, and providing luminosity.
Cheekbones
Another sign of facial ageing is sagging of the cheekbones. A young face has cheekbones and cheeks in the mid-upper part of the face and this sagging can come with age, in naturally thin people or in people who lose weight rapidly. Hyaluronic acid restores volume and harmony to this part of the face.
Chin
This technique is one of the ones that most attracts my attention. It is the solution without resorting to surgery for people who have a receding jawline.
A face with a marked facial oval brings beauty and harmony and what in principle may be a purely aesthetic issue, in many cases affects self-esteem and is much more serious than it may seem.
All these techniques have no postoperative period, and you can lead a normal life as soon as the treatment is completed. It is possible that small bruises and swelling may appear in the area, but these will disappear during the first few days. We hope that we have solved your doubts about what is hyaluronic acid for.
What do you think about these temporary aesthetic medicine techniques? Would you dare to have any of these treatments if you wanted to improve your appearance? I read you ????
