Make-up Holiday Bag

Make-up Holiday Bag

In the last post, we showed you which skin care products to take with you in order to keep a full routine on vacation. Today we are going to see which make-up products we can put in the toiletry bag to save space, which is the most necessary when packing. We’re goint to prepare your Make-up Holiday Bag.

As a make-up foundation I recommend some that are light, since with the heat the feeling of carrying something on your face is more uncomfortable. Charlotte Tilbury’s Light Wonder is a base that all skin types like, it is very comfortable to wear and can be modulated, so we can provide more or less coverage as we like and, in addition, it has the plastic package and that is always a plus so we don’t have to be afraid of breaking it.

The concealer I am going to put in my toiletry bag is the Camouflage by Essence, which is moisturising. I like it a lot because once you remove the first folds, it stays on and does not dry out the dark circles.

In the summer, our skin tends to be shinier, so it is a good idea to seal it with a powder that is soft and doesn’t leave your face feeling stiff. RCMA powders are ultra-fine and leave skin that looks like porcelain.

As for the cheeks, Revolution has a perfect palette with a bronzer and illuminator. It is the Sculpt and Glow (my favourite shade is Desert Sky) the bronzer has the perfect colour; it is neither too orange which is too artificial nor too grey which turns off the skin. The illuminator also has a perfect intensity and can be modulated from a subtle glow to something more evident, so it is ideal if you want to wear a natural makeup as if you want to make up full glam. Continuing with the cheeks, the blush I like most for summer is the Blush & Lift liquid in the Harmony shade. Apart from the fact that it is a beautiful shade, it leaves the cheeks feeling moist.

As eye shadows I have several options, if you want a palette with which to make both natural and intense looks, then you cannot miss the palette Born to Run  by Urban Decay is a super versatile palette and I personally since I have it, whenever I want to make up for some special occasion, is the first option. On the other hand, if you don’t want to complicate yourself too much with the shadows or if you want to save time in your make-up, Kiko’s stick shadows are perfect to apply on the mobile eyelid, blur them a little and that’s it. There is a great variety of colours and once they dry on the eyelid, they stay fixed. But if you are like me and your eyelids are greasy, the best way to keep the shadows from moving is to use an eyeshadow primer, and Urban Decay has the best of both worlds with his Eyeshadow Primer Potion.

As far as eyeliners go, I am going to give you three options that depending on your tastes you will prefer one or the other, but all three are very intense, matte coloured and very fixed on the eyelid. If you prefer a pencil eyeliner, you will love the Long Lasting by Essence, if you like a liquid one, with the Epic Ink Eyeliner by NXY you will get a perfect eyeliner and if you choose a gel eyeliner, the one by Inglot will be your favourite.

Lately, I have been using On the Rise by NYX, which leaves my lashes combed and gives them incredible volume while it lengthens them. And also from NYX is the Micro Brow Pencil that has a very fine tip and a perfect hardness to leave the eyebrows marked without clumping them and if we want to finish them off, with the Essence Make me Brow Gel we will get them to stay in place.

For the lips, I recently discovered Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil. They are lipsticks that can be used as both eyeliner and lipstick (my favourite colour for summer is Famous Red). They are matte but do not leave a dry feeling on the lips and are quite long lasting.

And as a last step, the ultimate make-up fixing spray is the Urban Decay All Nighter, besides, they have a travel format that comes perfect for holidays.

Obviously, this is a complete step-by-step make-up that each person can adapt to their tastes and needs and it is just as valid a make-up made with two products as another one made step by step or even if we leave the skin without make-up.

Leave us in the comments if you are one of those who takes advantage of the summer and holidays to elaborate more makeup or if on the contrary you do not worry so much and take advantage of the tan to leave your skin to the natural one.
