It is already August, which is the holiday month par excellence, and I do not know about you, but every time I have to pack my make-up and skin care products, it is a headache. I never know what products to pack if it is going to be too much or if I am going to miss something. Today we are going to open the skin care kit and decide what we are going to take with us on our trip in our Skincare Holiday Bag.
First of all, it is cleanliness, the most convenient thing for travelling is the reusable make-up removal pads. They are discs made of bamboo or cotton fibres that simply with warm water remove even the waterproof makeup in a very gentle way for the skin, since the only thing it has is water (you can also use it with your favourite micellar water, but the idea is to take as few products as possible) for a complete cleaning, we should use afterwards a soap, the one that best suits our skin, and with that we would have the cleaning done. It is not a deep cleaning as we can do a normal day, but we are on vacation, right?
The next step would be to use a mask, for trips I think the ones that come in envelopes (like Apivita’s) have many types, although my favourites are the orange one, which leaves the skin very bright, the green clay one that leaves the skin clean and smooth and the intensive moisturizer with aloe vera, which is perfect to help the skin recover after a day of sun.
After the mask, we can use a toner, I love MG Skincare that refreshes the skin a lot and comes in a spray format that provides a much more comfortable application and can be carried in the bag for when we notice that the skin asks for a little hydration. It also comes in a 100 ml format so we can take it on a trip if we take a plane.
For the eye contour, I prefer the Filorga brand, in this case the Optim eyes is the perfect choice to have a moisturized and decongested eyelid.
The next step is the serum, and, in this case, I like to use one with vitamin C so that it provides me with antioxidants and illuminates my facial skin. I find La Roche Posay Pure Vitamin C10 to be the perfect one to help renew the skin, smooth out wrinkles and reduce blemishes.
As a moisturizer, one of my favourites for summer is Liftactiv Collagen by Vichy. It does not leave any greasy feeling, which is a plus for summer and also leaves the skin much smoother perfect whether we are going to make up or not.
Finally, we cannot forget the sunscreen, we must use it daily, even if the sky is cloudy. The one I like the most since I started using it is Fusion Water by ISDIN. It is amazingly easy to apply and it is absorbed very quickly without leaving a greasy feeling.
Of all these steps, the only ones that are essential are the cleaning in the morning and at night and the sunscreen in the morning. The rest must be adapted to what our skin needs and most importantly: we are on vacation and it is time to enjoy.
